Bill Cosby at the Chicago Theatre
When people talk about the great comedians of our time, like Louis C.K. or Bill Burr of Maria Bamford, they often use the phrase “comedian’s comedian.” That’s all well and good, but what about the people’s comedian? The comedian that speaks to everyone? The comedian that universally appeals to all people of all walks of life? Is that such a bad thing? What kind of person doesn’t think the classic musings on family, religion, and chocolate cake by Bill Cosby are anything less than genius? Certainly not the kind of person that works at Holiday Jones.
